It is believed that celadon appeared around the 1st century, the era of the Eastern Han.
The blue-white porcelain glaze used in Gladdy is made by adding a few percent of iron to the uniquely formulated lime glaze,
aiming for a gentle, transparent light blue.
I feel the atmosphere like the traditional Japanese color "bottle peeping".
It is a glaze that has been used for decades,
and I think that blue and white porcelain is the best among many glazes.

青磁が現れたのは、後漢の時代にあたる1世紀の頃だと考えられております。
Gladdyで使用する青白磁釉は、独自に調合した石灰釉に鉄を数%加え、優しい透明感のある水色を目指して拵えています。
日本の伝統色の「瓶覗」のような雰囲気を感じます。
かれこれ数十年使い続けている釉薬で質感の良さは、
数ある釉薬の中でも青白磁が1番ではないかと思っております。
